Hemsworth Waterpark & Playworld
Hemsworth Waterpark
Hemsworth Water Park has two lakes; the largest lake is available for pedalo rides and has sandy beaches; the smallest lake is in a more secluded area to attract wildlife. Both lakes are stocked for fishing which is currently available day and night.
There are also plenty of grassed areas for picnics and games.
BBQ’s are not permitted.
Camping is not permitted.
Paddling or swimming is not permitted in our lakes.
Playworld
Playworld is an outdoor adventure playground within the Water Park and is suitable for children of all ages with a tower slide, climbing frames, toddler’s sandpit area.
However, please note Playworld is subjected to daily / regular inspections to ensure the safety of everybody, in wet weather it has to be closed as the various surfaces can be quite slippery and everyone’s health and safety is our foremost concern. Playworld can also be affected if it has rained the previous night.
We don’t take the decision to close Playworld lightly.
Directions
Hemsworth Water Park is situated off the B6273 which links the A628 in Hemsworth with the A638 at Nostell. Coaches must enter via Hoyle Mill Road opposite the Farmers public house in Kinsley. Cars and pedestrians can either enter off Hoyle Mill Road or directly off the B6273 via the Hemsworth Park Care Centre entrance road. The nearest train station is Fitzwilliam (just a 10 minute walk from the park) which is served by the main Leeds-Doncaster or Leeds-Sheffield routes. A bus stop is directly outside the park.

Car Parking
£3.00 per vehicle for all day parking
Car parking charges are in force on weekends and school holidays between the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm
Residents of Hemsworth, Kinsley and Fitzwilliam can obtain a FREE parking permit by presenting evidence of their name and address at Hemsworth Community Centre

Concessions for local residents
Residents of Hemsworth, Fitzwilliam or Kinsley are entitled to permits allowing them free entry into Playworld and free car parking at the Water Park. To obtain these permits you should visit the Community Centre with a document showing your name and address.
