Second lockdown – the effects on Hemsworth Town Council services

As you will be aware, the government has mandated a second lockdown from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December. The lockdown will inevitably affect the town council’s services, as follows.

Hemsworth Water Park

  • The park remains open but if you go there to exercise you must socially distance.
  • Playworld remains closed.

Lakeside Café Bar at Hemsworth Water Park

  • The café bar remains closed.

Hemsworth Community Centre

  • The community centre will be closed to the general public unless you have an appointment for an exempt activity, such as the foot clinic or an educational/training session.
  • The only exception will be Friday mornings between 10am and 12 noon when the citizens advice service will continue.
  • The community centre will still be staffed (albeit at a reduced level) so you can still telephone the council with any queries on (01977) 617617.

Meal delivery service

  • The meal delivery service (which is primarily for elderly or infirm parishioners) will continue as normal.
  • You can book meals as usual by calling (01977) 617617.

Allotments

  • The allotments remain open but you must socially distance.

Sandygate Lane and Cemetery Road football facilities

  • The football facilities will be closed.

Fitzwilliam Community Centre (formerly CISWO)

  • The community centre remains closed.
